DIY frame shelves for your room

With a new little one on the way, I was feeling excited and wanted to do some crafty activities. Longing to finish the nursery off with some shabby, chic touches, I decided to do a bit of DIY and create frame shelves. These shelves would be the perfect showcase for fragile mementos, books, vintage toys, and beautiful baby keepsakes. Of course, I wanted to make sure I used a strong adhesive for the best and safest results. So, gathering up my materials, I grabbed some Bondini Xtreme-3 and set to work.

Product Features

  • Maximum strength
  • Sets instantly
  • Bonds most porous and non-porous materials
  • Works on oily and greasy surfaces
  • Precise application with nozzle control

Delving into the Shelving

After assembling the box shelf bases out of 1×4-inch pine boards, I was ready to attach the frames. By purchasing a few of these picture frames at a garage sale and the rest at a department store, I had actually spent very little money so far. Score! Anyways, I then removed the glass or frame backing and applied the Bondini Xtreme-3 to the edge of the frame.

Disbursing about 1 drop of glue each inch, I then pressed the frame to the shelf box for about 15 seconds while it bonded. Next, I painted the completed shelves with white satin finish spray paint, of course any desired paint color would do. The next day, the bond this miracle adhesive created was at full strength. And the frame shelves were hung proudly by this mama-to-be.
