We recently heard from another satisfied customer who uses our Extra Thick Foam Mounting Squares to give his projects added depth:

“My name is Frank Garcia and I work for Prima Marketing Inc. a scrapbooking company located in Chino, CA. I am an educator that teaches classes all over the country and internationally and I have been using your Extra Thick Foam Mounting Squares for years now on my scrapbooking projects and classes.”

Thanks for the feedback, Frank! That’s exactly what we designed our Extra Thick Foam Mounting Squares for. It’s always great to hear about the many uses our customers routinely find for our products, especially when that customer is out there teaching others about these great craft ideas. These adhesives are great for attaching pictures and decorations to any craft project. And just look at the way his scrapbook pops!

We want to hear from you. How are you using our Foam Squares or other Super Glue products?

You can view the details of Frank’s next scrapbooking workshop here:

It’s going to be a 2 day fun-filled workshop with a total of 6 classes by different instructors.  Brand new Winter 2014 products will be featured and over $600 dollars worth of exceptional Prima products for use, including our very own Extra Thick Foam Mounting Squares!!! We can’t wait to see the amazing projects that are created during this 2 day extravaganza!

Take Super Glue Hiking!

This exciting story came to our attention from The Original Super Glue(R) customer, G. Neumaie:

“We were on vacation in Ecuador.  When we left for a hiking trip, I made sure to bring a couple of tubes of Super Glue.  To make a long story short, we drove from Quito out to the Mountain Tungarahua out past the city of Ambato.  This volcano is usually somewhat active, not like Mount Imbaburra where we were based.  So, out we went, climbing and looking at the boiling steam vents and the sights of Nature.  The volcano awoke, shaking the whole mountainside with a roaring low pitch sound like a thousand thunderstorms.  Some of us fell down on the sharp rocks.  We had to get out in a hurry.  There were wounds that were bleeding, but the priority was to get off the mountain.  Out came the Super Glue!  A few dabs on the wounds after a quick wipe and the bleeding stopped.  When we got down to the town of Banos, the Doctor said we didn’t need any stitches because the Super Glue took care of it.  My family was safe and sound, thanks to the quick acting super glue.  Later we had ice cream.”  🙂 ….

We say, “Boy, did you ever deserve that ice cream!!”

Thanks for sharing your amazing story with us and thanks for reminding us to TAKE SUPER GLUE HIKING!

What Can You Do With 1,000 Packages of HandiTAK?

Back in 2006, a customer sent us this picture of her bedroom with the following note:

“I have thousands of magazine cutouts and posters covering every inch of space on my bedroom walls, blinds, closets, drawers, and shelves that are all held up with poster tac. Two years ago, The National Examiner did a story on my room and a small picture of it can be seen here. I am currently moving out of my parent’s house and moving into my own apartment and will be doing the same thing with my new bedroom and although it will take a lot of effort, Poster tac will get me through…”

After coming across this picture recently, we were just as astounded by her creativity as we were all those years ago. It’s yet another example of all the creative ways that customers regularly find to use our products. Using our reusable adhesive, HandiTAK, she was able to turn her entire room into one giant collage of all the things most important to her (including one of the best sitcoms of all time, “Friends”).

Since HandiTAK is reusable, we’re curious to know if any of the posters and cutouts adorning her bedroom made it to her new apartment. Does she still go to sleep with Joey, Chandler, and Monica keeping a watchful eye over her? More importantly, are any of you using our HandiTAK to decorate your walls? What sitcom casts made the cut?

Rain Gutter Repair is Just a Patch Away

With the end of summer comes the beginning of the rainy season, at least in most parts of the country. Now is the perfect time to clean and repair your rain gutters. After all, once the rains come, it will be too late! To shore up your rain gutters while the weather is still dry, we recommend The Permanent Patch.

If you have vinyl rain gutters, you may have noticed some of the sections becoming cracked or separated. Weathering and debris can cause your gutters to move and undermine the seams between the sections. If you have aluminum gutters, you’re more susceptible to punctures and seam separation.

All of these common problems can be solved with the application of the permanent patch. Simply pull the separated seams back together, cut out a square of permanent patch, and apply directly over the seam. Cracks and punctures can be covered in the same way. The patch is waterproof, meaning it should hold strong in even the wettest storms. Make sure to do this on a sunny day, as the patch is UV activated.
The permanent patch can then be sanded and painted to match the finish of the rest of your gutters. And there you have it: an easy solution to rain gutter leaks, just in time for fall.
