This Super Glue Corp Chief Blogger was recently vacationing in Sun Valley and while I was hanging around the uber cool Silver Creek Outfitters store I spotted our ZAP Flyfishing Adhesive Product (perfect for fly tying) in the store.  As a marketer this made me very happy, so I snapped this picture for the blog.

Later my group and I went out with a couple of guides (Bob & Thatcher) and waded in the river in search of some mighty trout.  Our novice group wasn’t too successful with the fishing that day (a more experienced member of our group had gone out the day before with Silver Creek guides and caught 19 fish in an afternoon!), but we had a lot of fun and saw lots of wildlife … elk, goats, and even some harmless snakes (I didn’t see the snakes, thankfully!).

This video shows the status of the fly fishing in the Sun Valley area right around the time that we were there.  Check it out!

Fly fishing is an amazingly involved sport that requires knowledge and skill!  Along with the actual skill involved with the fishing there is the added talent involved with making your own flies!  Check out this video showing the skill involved with fly tying (also note the ZAP adhesive he uses!).  If you’re a fly fisher who ties flies with ZAP adhesives send us your story and you may win some sample products.

Good on ya!  Great News!  Masters Home Improvement (a joint venture between Lowe’s and Australia’s Woolworth) recently opened in Australia and our own Nick Grooters, Export Sales Manager, was there to celebrate the grand opening!

The new CEO of Masters Home Improvement is Don Stallings, former head of Lowe’s Canada.  According to an August 30, 2011 report in  The Sydney Morning Herald “the new home improvement and hardware retailer will generate more than $23 million in annual sales from each store as it ramps up to open its maiden outlet in Melbourne on Thursday and secure 150 sites in the next few years.”….. “Mr Stallings said many of the key products carried by Masters were new to Australia and exclusively offered by the chain, especially in the paints and tools range which were crucial products for hardware and home improvement shoppers.”

The new home improvement store will be a major competitor to Bunnings which operates over 300 locations in Australia and New Zealand.  To hear more watch this news report.

Super Glue Corporation is proud to have many of our most popular adhesive products in the new chain of stores.  Check out the beautiful sea of yellow and red products neatly set in the first Masters store in Braybrook!

Congratulations, Masters Home Improvement!  We look forward to being a part of your success!

Wow, check out these amazing hand carved ducks!  Our customer, Kenneth Kincade, sent us these terrific pictures.  He “hand carves life size competition grade decorative duck water fowl”.

Kenneth told us he “started carving on a challenge from another wood carver.  He showed me a carving he just finished and asked me how it looked, when I told him how to make it better, I was told to carve my own and see if mine was any better.  My bird came in 2nd at the Louisiana Wildfowl Carvers Show that is held in September of every year.  As a novice carver I was hooked on wood carving.  That was in 1983.  Now at 68, I compete in the Louisiana Wildfowl World Championship and in Maryland’s Ward Brothers Wildfowl Competition in August.”

Another carver first told Kenneth about Zap-A-Gap glue.  Now Kenneth says, “Wow, What great glue!”

We say, “Wow, What great carvings!” … We’re amazed by your work, Kenneth.  Thanks for sharing your story with us so we can share your photos with our readers!  We’re happy to know super talented artists like you depend on our products!

Hold It! Clamp It! New E-Z Fuse Tape – Super Useful!

Super Glue Corporation has a great new product that has lots of different uses.  It’s called E-Z Fuse Tape.  It looks a little like old fashioned electrical tape, and it has many of the same uses, but it isn’t nearly as sticky or permanent as the old black tape used to be.  The video above shows Dan using the tape as a clamp while the epoxy he applied to a broken sign sets.  The tape sticks to itself, but doesn’t stick to the wooden sign so it can be removed instantly and leaves no residue behind.

The E-Z Fuse Tape is also waterproof!   Recently, a lucky group of wakeboarders just happened to have some of the tape on board.  This young wakeboarder’s baggy shorts would have surely fallen to his knees if he hadn’t made a makeshift belt out of the tape!  The miracle tape held up underwater all afternoon!

Fans of this terrific product say they’ve used it to “temporarily affix a towel on our Bimini poles to create some shade.  It was perfect for the job.  When we no longer needed the shade we could cut off the tape and use the towel without there being any residue on the towel or pole.”

The magical tape is available in white, black and a variety of widths and lengths.

If you are interested in trying out the E-Z Fuse Tape send us your name and address along with the title “I’ve gotta have some E-Z Fuse Tape!”, before October 15th, and we will send you a sample (while supplies last).
